A workshop for gymnastics coaches and judges was held today in Cullman,Al.
we had judges and coaches from throughout our district come together to prepare for the upcoming season to work on coaches and judges
having the same understanding of the routines,rules and deductions to be implemented at our competitions this season.
Although the workshop was primarily for the reasons stated we were also able to adminnister a course/test and certify 3 new judges and many other decisions were made in connection with
judges ie dress code for this season etc.
Tenative plans are in the works to have a clinic for the youth to work on skills with the coaches from all clus woking in unison as one staff.
We may be adding extra meets this year which will be only for Optional and Boys competition.
The date for the District championship was finalized and will be April 24, 2010 at Sylacauga,Al We have several clubs from Tn. and Al who have verbally commited to participate AAU next season. We had a good and rewarding day.
